Road Tours

An early December Camp and ride trip to Floridas Forgotten coast. No crowds, not may bugs, and nice weather for relaxing.

A backroads run up to Pennsylvania to visit Rosemary and Evan and tour the Gettysburg area. With a return trip down the Blue Ridge Parkwark which turned out to be an entire story own its own. Limped for miles on a bad tire, hit a deer, and Susan sick with a big strom at the end. Great ride but costly.

Early March trip to the Okefenokee in southern GA. Bike rides out to Jekyll Island and another to St Augustine FLA.

4076 miles over 14 days. A tour through mostly backroad America in Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, and Colorado.

This was probably the closest I'll ever get to the perfect tour...it don't get any better than this!

Mid October ride up through western Virginia and eastern Kentucky coal country. About 600 miles with an overnight stopover at the Lodge at Interstate Breaks Park.

In mid October we were fortunate to capture a string of nice days so we decided to ride up to Mammoth Cave in Kentucky. We were also very fortunate that it coincided with the fall peak colors on the northern plateau. We spent the night in the park Inn - only about 100 yards from the main entrance to the cavern. I never realized it, but there are about 400 miles of caverns that have been explored in this cave system - pretty impressive! We traveled only about 550 miles over the two day outing so it was a very relaxing trip.

On September 27th we completed our tour to all 54 Tennessee parks. It was a great experience and was over too soon. We've developed a new appreciation for the Tennessee State Parks and the country that lies between. We traveled a total of 3900 miles across the state, and a little in Kentucky, North Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, and Alabama.

Spring
909 miles RT from my house. Three days, one in the rain - two out of three ain't bad! Great ride!
