Day 2

July 17th

We started the day out in Johnson City. After visiting Davys home site and a stop in Greenville we decided to take a risk in finding a way through to Hartford Tn. via Del Rio to visit my cousin Marsha and her family. Least to say, it was an interesting ride. A huge storm moved across the area before us and we waited it out a while at a primitive church. As it turned out we missed the storm but we ended up having to ride a few miles on a gravel road (Bull mountain) that was washed out in places. We made it fine though, and had a great ride back home except fo the mess we experienced in Pigeon Forge...it was bumper to bumper crawl for about two miles!

Intresting...I'll have to look this up and see what this trail is and the areas it could lead one to.
