Heading East out of McKenzie, we made Nathan Bedford SP fairly early taking secondary backroads. The day ended up being Civil war history day, and it was well worth it.
1 Along the way we came upon this old Roundhouse. This is the first one of these I have ever seen still standing.
2 Sadly, the turntable is gone.
3 The flues to capture the smoke from the locomotive boilers are still here.
4 This is located in the CSX yard in Bruceton TN. See map.
5 There were several of these parked in the yard. Probably awaiting their turn to be cut up or setup in some city park for kids to play on.
6 This park, and the following park at Johnsonville, ended up being a civil war history lesson that lasted most of the day.
